The specialized laboratories of Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT) have successfully obtained the internationally recognized ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation and have also been included in the Approved Vendor List (AVL) of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC). This achievement ensures the international recognition of the laboratories’ test results in more than 110 countries and represents a significant step toward facilitating knowledge-based exports, reducing trade costs for technology companies, and addressing the needs of the oil and gas industry.
By leveraging the expertise of its specialists and advanced laboratory infrastructure, ISTT has obtained ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation—the international standard for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories—in four specialized scopes.
Under this accreditation, ISTT’s Microbiology and Molecular Laboratory, Materials and Metallurgy Laboratory, and Filtration Laboratory are authorized to provide accredited testing services in the fields of Microbiology, Mechanical and Metallurgical Testing, Automotive Systems and Powertrain Testing, and Textile and Apparel Processing.
These accredited scopes enable the laboratories to provide measurement and testing services for 72 products across more than 305 testing parameters. One of the most significant benefits of this achievement is the international acceptance of test results across more than 110 countries. As a result, exporters—particularly knowledge-based and technology companies—will no longer need to repeat testing procedures in destination countries, significantly reducing the time and costs associated with exporting innovative products.
In addition to supporting export development, this achievement enhances the capacity of ISTT laboratories to serve industrial sectors and strengthens their role in providing reliable, internationally recognized testing services to domestic and international clients.
